Books about Jericho
There are two useful publications on the history of Jericho. While covering some of the same ground they are complementary.
Jericho Sketchbook
by N.C. Pollock and C. A. Cowham, £2.50, 1996
This 37-page book was published privately by the authors, both of whom
lived in Jericho. Full of fascinating historical detail. The book is now
out of print but the complete text is now available on this site. See
the menu on the left.
The Changing Faces of Jericho
by Julie Kennedy, Robert Boyd Publications, Book 1, 1997; Book 2, 1999
This is part of a series on different parts of
Oxford. It comes in two volumes which are structured around historical
photographs of people and places in Jericho. Intriguing aerial views allow
you to compare past and present.
